Wide Bay is arguably the best region in Australia right now for property investors.

What are the the fundamentals you need for a successful property investment?  High population growth, massive jobs growth on the back of unprecedented infrastructure spending, incredibly affordability, high rental returns and amazing lifestyle. All of these boxes are ticked plus some in the Wide Bay Area.

Like many regions, the Wide Bay Area was impacted by the flooding earlier in the year. There have been over 16,500 insurance claims in Maryborough due to the floods. This is literally billions of dollars of work that will need to be completed and new homes needed. This will create thousands of jobs.

It is predicted that rents will rise by $5,000 this year in this region, and that was before the floods. So add the demand from all of the new homes needed to be replaced plus what is needed to for the people being employed to rebuild the region, rental growth will be off the charts.

You will not find a better region to invest in around Australia.

Its no wonder why rents in Wide Bay are predicted to grow by $5,000 this year, its economy is going gangbusters. And new housing supply is incredibly limited with anything that does become available being purchased by owner occupiers.

There is over 1,800 new jobs in these projects which is massive for a region this size. And these projects are not all that is happening, so there is massive growth to come.

Below is a compilation of things happening within 25 mins of Hervey Bay/ Maryborough. There are also over $3 Billion in renewable energy projects happening in Wide Bay.

These are the projects currently underway

  • Signaturecare -  $28M - 180 bed aged care facility creating 100 jobs
  • NioaReinmetall munitions factory  - $60M creating 100 jobs (read more)
  • Rural Funds macadamia and cropping - $81M deal to acquire 5409 hectares of Queensland sugar cane farms from MSF Sugar with plans to convert them over time into macadamia orchards

  • Hyne -  $14.5M expansion creating 50 jobs (read more)
  • Bruce Highway floodproofing - $103M (read more)
  • Maryborough fire station upgrade - $12M (read more)
  • Thyme retirement village under construction - $122M
  • Whale and marine centre at the marina - $50M
  • New ambulance station under construction
  • Stockland expansion - $115M

Guaranteed Projects for the region :

  • New generation train construction - $7 Billion, creating 800 jobs (read more)
  • Analytica high tech medical manufacturing - $13M, 194 jobs  ( read more )
  • New town centre at Pialba - $100M
  • Massive Eli Waters Shopping village with over 380 ongoing jobs
  • Hotel at Urangan - $60M
  • Mental Health facility - $40M
  • Spotlight shopping village - $60M

With all of the above there are approx. $8.5 Billion and 1800+ jobs going on over the next few years. And this is just around Hervey Bay/ Maryborough. In Bundaberg you have the $1.2 Billion hospital to commence construction this year, the $80M Gateway Marina, the massive Bundaberg drinks expansion, and of course the 20,000 new jobs at the Bundaberg Port.

Wide Bay has potentially has Australia's highest growth prospects in coming years. The land prices will only stay as low as they are now for a very short window of time.

Quiet simply, the Palms is the place to buy!

The northern beaches of Cairns is the Nation's best location for property investors right now, and The Palms is the premier development in this boom region.

It has the best location being elevated and backing onto the rainforest. It will have amazing facilities with a shopping village, a primary school, parks and green open space, a water park and an expanse of wildlife corridors.

It has taken the developers three years to get planning approval for this unique development to be able to hit the market. There are only 300 lots spread across 85 acres of the best land in The Northern Beaches.  Residents will have an abundance of open space right at their doorstep.  The Palms is also the only Certified Enviro Development project in Far North Queensland.

Sydneysiders and Melburnians, put aside your equally outstanding flat whites for a moment. Stop bickering about whether great beaches beat cool laneways (they do) and desist from debating whether all baristas require waxed moustaches (ideally).

Because Brisbane is closing in on the title of Australia’s best city, and we must join forces to keep this subtropical upstart in its place.

Time  magazine recently named Brisvegas on its “World’s Greatest Places” list, and omitted our cities. It’s a huge shock (and who knew they still published Time  magazine?). But they might be onto something.

Time  points to the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, which will be hosted in the maroon metropolis. Brisbane will do a fine job, even though it’ll baffle the world when rugby league is added to the schedule and Queensland is allowed to field its own team.

Time’s  most radical claim is that Brisbane is worth visiting now, but tourism is surging. Not only did Lin-Manuel Miranda recently drop in to catch Hamilton , but hundreds of Hamilfans flew up to watch his interview with Leigh Sales (presumably unaware that it would subsequently arrive on iView for free).

This small duplex development just a short drive from Hervey Bay on Queensland’s beautiful Fraser Coast, offers an incredible lifestyle at an affordable price. With unprecedented demand and very limited supply, prices look set to skyrocket.

A leading local agent has appraised each side of these duplex's to be worth $665k on completion and rent for $495 per week. So that is massive potentail instant equity of up to $390K on completion, which is incredibly hard to find.
